Cleveland Kurentovanje (koo-rehn-toh-VAHN-yeh), a Slovenian-infused Mardi Gras carnival, celebrates its 14th year on Saturday, February 14, with a grand parade and festival. The celebration centers on the iconic Kurenti—ancient, mythological figures believed to banish winter and usher in spring with their mystical powers.
This free event features live music across three stages, authentic Slovenian food and beverages, and an expansive Children’s Village offering free crafts and engaging activities for the youngest festival-goers.
