From the Organizer:
To coincide with Timothy Manalo’s solo exhibition Many Eyes Wondering, the artist will lead a hands-on workshop exploring natural dye and ink making with food waste and spices. Drawing from the same methods used in his own practice, participants will transform everyday materials like avocado skins and pits, onion skins, and annatto seeds, into rich natural pigments that can be applied on paper and fabric. Through this process, participants will create unique paper collage weavings and tie-dyed fabric pieces while gaining insight into sustainable color-making techniques that combine material experimentation with environmental mindfulness.
Free Admission with a $20 materials fee at registration
The Sculpture Center thanks the Morgan Conservatory for generously hosting this exhibition at their facility.
