The Main Event Misfit Comedy Tour brings a high-energy night of stand-up featuring nationally touring comedians seen at top clubs and festivals across the country. Headlined by Phil Medina and featuring comedians David C. Smalley, Elyssa Phillips, and Jason Schuster, the show delivers sharp, relatable comedy and a fast-paced lineup that keeps audiences laughing from start to finish.
Phil Medina
Phil Medina is a powerhouse headlining comedian who has performed at top clubs including the Laugh Factory, Hollywood Improv, and the Ice House. Known for his electric stage presence, Phil has headlined across the country, entertained U.S. troops, and was featured at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival in Los Angeles. He’s also featured on Hulu’s West Coast Comedy and Not Your Average Comedy, and has voiced multiple characters — including Fernando Palomo — in the Disney+ series O11CE: The New Generation. Phil continues to build strong national momentum with high-energy performances that connect with audiences everywhere.
David C. Smalley
Texas-born, LA-reformed: David C. Smalley is the comedian your crazy uncle accidentally agrees with before realizing he's been set up. David has built a career turning America's biggest arguments into comedy; tackling politics, religion, identity, and the absurd contradictions of modern life. His sharp, conversational style has earned him 2.3M followers, more than 200M views, and appearances on Apple TV, Amazon, Nickelodeon, CNN, FOX, NBC, ABC & even Newsmax (once). He's been written about by HuffPost, Newsweek, LA Weekly, & Haute Living. He is also the creator and host of the long-running podcasts Dogma Debate, Serious Circus, and Daughter Issues. David's comedy isn't concerned with telling people what to think. It's focused on making them laugh hard enough to think for themselves. Oh yea, and leave at the kids at home. This one is for adults. Elyssa Phillips
Elyssa Phillips is a nationally and internationally touring stand-up comedian, actress, and sketch performer. She hosts a monthly all-female stand-up show at The Comedy Store in Hollywood and has opened nationally for Iliza Shlesinger. Elyssa has performed at festivals including Boom Chicago, Asheville Comedy Festival, Blue Whale Comedy Festival, Cleveland Comedy Festival, and SLO Comedy Festival. She’s also contributed jokes to hit TV shows such as Hacks, Silicon Valley, Fresh Off the Boat, Tuca & Bertie, and The Mindy Project. And yes — she’s still very, very single.
Jason Schuster
Jason Schuster is a nationally touring stand-up comedian from Baltimore known for his high-energy performances, sharp wit, and spot-on impressions. A crowd favorite, Jason blends quick punchlines with dynamic character work, keeping audiences engaged from start to finish. He has performed at top comedy clubs across the country and shared the stage with some of the biggest names in comedy, delivering a fast-paced, interactive show every time he hits the stage.
