As part of Ohio-Goes-to-the-Movies and America-250, the Cleveland Silent Film Festival presents renowned director Victor Sjöström's emotional take on Hawthorne's famous novel, starring Ohio-native Lillian Gish. With original live compilation score by Eric Charnofsky performed by the Cleveland Photoplayers, and based on the original MGM cue sheet. Pre-film gathering at 2:00, with introductory remarks by film scholar Jonah Horwitz at 2:30, film at 3:00, and reception following with a talkback about the score and its creation by the musicians.
