Now is the perfect time to explore our fabulous Downtown! We stayed at The Kimpton Schofield located on the corner of Euclid and East 9th - the perfect location for a staycation. Plus, did we mention a nightly hosted wine hour? AND Betts serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Want to bring your dog? The Schofield is pet friendly, too.

We arrived Friday evening just in time to pick up our complimentary glass of wine at check-in. Our room was located on the corner, which provided amazing views all the way to Lake Erie and down to Playhouse Square. Plus, the most gorgeous claw foot bathtub. After exploring our room and downloading the latest street scooter apps - we headed out the door!

It was easy to find scooters around The Schofield, so they became our main source of transportation, which is awesome during this time, and with the weather we had. We took our scooters down to The Flats, though they become a no-ride zone in the evenings, so we did have to walk down the hill.

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner on the patio at Collision Bend, complete with a gorgeous sunset. We recommend Collision Bend if you enjoy craft beer, waterfront dining, and elevated food. Their Hot Honey Chicken sandwich is a personal favorite, and we also enjoyed the Pork Belly Pizza this time around.

We headed back to The Schofield to grab a nightcap at Betts - you HAVE to try their Creme Brulee, it’s to die for.

Saturday morning we woke up and took a walk around Public Square and The Mall before grabbing a Coffee and a Cleveland Bagel Co bagel at Rising Star.

We enjoyed taking ourselves on a Take a Hike Tour. They have an option to follow the map and listen to the tour on your phone. We took the Grand Department Stores Tour and enjoyed seeing the architecture and learning about Clevelands history.

After our walking tour, we grabbed brunch at Betts which was our first brunch experience there and it was phenomenal. We enjoyed a Hangover Shot from Anna in The Raw, the Bubbie’s Board, the Bodega Sammie, a mimosa, and the Morning After cocktail. We will definitely be back for brunch again soon.

We stopped for a quick drink at Mabel’s, mainly just because I am so excited they’ve reopened, and then we took advantage of The Schofield’s Discover Cleveland package and headed to The Great Lakes Science Center. We hadn’t been to the science center in years, so we were very excited to visit again. We enjoyed “The Great Bear Rainforest” in the dome theatre, and then tried our hand on the learning floor playing with the exhibits. We ended our visit with the Body Worlds RX exhibit - which was very eye-opening.

We grabbed scooters from the Rock Hall and headed up to the Free Stamp to take a picture and check that off of the Summer Bucket List! We ended our trip with a beer and some food at Noble Beast before taking a joy ride around Playhouse Square.

The Cleveland Bucket List was provided a one-night stay at The Kimpton Schofield and brunch at Betts in exchange for a feature of the hotel. All opinions in this feature are ours.
