Must See Cleveland Spots

When local photographer, Nathan Peachman, reached out to us about collaborating on Cleveland’s best views - it was a no brainer! Check out our list of some of the best views in Cleveland (featuring Nathan’s photography) and then get out and explore them for yourself.

1.) The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

  • Check it out with the skyline from Voinovich Bicentennial Park!

2.) The Arcade

  • The Arcade Cleveland opened in May of 1890 as the first indoor shopping center in America.

  • A $60-million renovation was completed in 2001, and the Arcade now houses a hotel, retail shops, and offices.

3.) A bias might exist because we are obsessed with the Guardians, but… Progressive Field.

  • The sunset views from inside the park are killer

4.) Detroit-Superior Bridge and The Flats

  • Also known as the Veterans Memorial Bridge

  • This 3,112-foot-long compression arch, the suspended-deck bridge was the first fixed high-level bridge in the city and, for a time, one of the largest steel and concrete reinforced bridges in the world*

  • We love being a waterfront city!

*Information pulled from here.

5.) The Rotunda at Heinen’s

  • The historic Cleveland Trust Rotunda Building (opened in 1908) now houses Downtowns Heinen’s grocery store.

6.) Cuyahoga Courthouse

  • Opened in 1911

7.) Playhouse Square

  • World’s biggest outdoor chandelier anyone?!

    • The chandelier, created by GE, is made of stainless steel with 4,200 acrylic crystal and took a year to create

    • Suspended from a 44-foot high steel structure, the GE Chandelier graces the intersection of East 14th Street and Euclid Avenue

  • We highly recommend a tour of Playhouse Square to hear the history behind Cleveland's iconic theatre district.

    • Playhouse Square’s original five venues (Mimi Ohio, Connor Palace, KeyBank State, Allen, and Hanna) were constructed in the 1920s in a mere 19 months

    • In the 1970s the theatres were “minutes away” from a wrecking ball when a grassroots movement saved them and helped restore them to today’s splendor

*Information from Playhouse Square.

8.) Public Square

  • On July 4, 1894, the 125-foot-tall Soldiers and Sailors Monument was dedicated on the square’s southeast quadrant in honor of Civil War veterans

  • City founder Moses Cleaveland and reformist mayor Tom L. Johnson each have statues on the square

9.) Edgewater Park

  • Check out the views of Lake Erie and the skyline from this awesome park

  • includes beach access, a rooftop bar, a walking trail, and more

10.) Catch a sunrise or sunset

  • Skyline or lake, you can’t go wrong!
