Our favorite Kid Friendly Spots

We had our daughter in February and we’ve been having fun getting out and exploring the town with her! I’m updating this list as we visit new spots with her and enjoy them. I totally understand there are plenty more kid-friendly places around town, but this is just a list of MY favorites so far! I’ve also linked back to my post on newborn/baby-friendly spots. We were barely taking her out of the car seat/carrier at this time so the status of changing tables and other more kid-friendly options doesn’t matter as much as a quiet location did for us.

Restaurants:

  • Noble Beast - we’ve visited for both weekday and weekend lunches, but the weekend does tend to be a bit louder,

    • has a kids menu

  • Brewdog - visited for afternoon beers and dinner, definitely suggest making a reservation and requesting a booth - they fit cart seats well

    • has a kids meal

  • Great Lakes Brewing Co. - went for a weekday lunch and brought the stroller which worked for the hightops in the bar

  • Char - make a reservation and go before 6:30pm when they start to pick up

  • Forage - easily fits a stroller, great for lunch or early dinner

  • Good Company - it’s a bit louder inside but they are super kid friendly and we love their bathroom changing table haha

    • has a kids menu

  • Heck’s - specifically recommend the Avon location (haven’t visited the other two with baby)

  • Mabel’s BBQ - large space with family-style seating and gender-neutral bathrooms (at East 4th location) with changing tables

  • Ohio City Pie Co - While we love the Rocky River location for takeout, only the Brunswick location has dine in, but it’s a great spot to hangout with kids

  • Dewey’s Pizza - the lakewood location has a window where you can watch them make the pizzas

Drinks:

  • Tapster - so kid-friendly, we’ve only been during the week, not sure of the noise level on weekends, easy with a stroller

  • Flight Cleveland - go right when they open on the weekend, gets loud as business picks up

  • Lakewood Truck Park - super kid friendly as well, it gets busy on nice days but it’s easy to keep to yourself with a table

Coffee and Bakery Spots:

  • Phoenix Lakewood - smaller set-up, better on off hours and/or weekdays, great for to-go as parking is easy

  • Floressa Cafe - smaller set-up, better on off hours and/or weekdays, great for to-go as parking is easy

  • Rising Star - on lee, in the Van Aken Market Hall and in Lakewood

  • Luna Bakery & Cafe - lots of seating in the summer outside

Spots that aren’t dining/drinking/coffee:
